This hike has something for everyone: a roaring river, waterfalls, old growth forest, wildflowers, and mountain views. I’ll be hiking to the decommissioned Dosewallips Ranger Station for 13 miles roundtrip with 1200 feet of elevation gain. You are welcome to pick your own turnaround point. Pets are welcome for the first 4.9 miles of the hike, before we cross into Olympic National Park.
We’ll meet at Dosewallips State Park Campground, where many of us will be camping for the weekend, at 9 am and carpool from there. If you aren’t camping, a Discover Pass is required at the state park. No parking pass is required at the trailhead.
Whether you are camping or not, you are welcome to attend the potluck after the hike. Please RSVP separately for the potluck at Monthly Potluck – (pwckitsap.org)
