The trip’s goal is to summit Beebe on SAturday and spend the night camping on the north – east ridge enjoying the views. This steep bushwack trip to start through thick forest then it will open into alpine environs. The trip should have an elevation gain of 5,300 feet so it is a steep climb. This is a random “back pocket” peak for me. I guess no one has heard of it, and the more random the better. I expect this to be mostly a scramble. Here is one TR I found in the route – https://www.peakbagger.com/climber/ascent.aspx?aid=2390059
The plan is to drive out Friday, June 7, after work, sleep in your car or in the parking lot at the Canyon Creek Trailhead. It is a short drive to where we will leave our cars. If we have time we can try climbing Tarheel too! This is a crampon / helmet / ice ax kind of trip! So pack light and be prepared to sleep on snow. If it is rainy we will bag this trip and head over to climb a last minute peak near Mazama where it is always sunnier!
