Backpack the China Ridge – Wallowas Oregon
Wednesday July 3 - Monday July 8
Maria is going on this trip! Our plan is to drive out Wednesday July 3rd after work. Get where we get, and sleep in the car. July 4th wake up, finish the drive and hike the mapped loop clockwise. This is about a 30 mile loop. (CalTopo Link https://sartopo.com/m/N2T4L) I have found that on the July 4th weekend there is still snow, so bringing an ice axe for this trip is a good choice! The reason why I want to hike the China Ridge is because I have already hiked the China Wall in Montana so why not. I am assuming the views will be splendid and there should be wildflowers.
