Earn Your Turkey Day Hike or Bike

Weather Permitting, do the hike or bike to earn all that food you are going to put away for Thanksgiving. This year’s Earn Your Turkey Hike is up the Dosewallips Road to the abandoned Dosewallips Campground. Along the way we will pass the 5050 Pass Trailhead, Elkhorn Campground, and the trailhead for Lake Constance. If you have not done this hike, it is an abandoned road and has not been converted to a trail. If you do not feel up to 13 miles, the way back is straightforward.
This hike is an out and back that starts at the end of Dosewallips Road and ends at the abandoned campground beside the river. The total distance is about 13 miles with 1200 feet of gradual total elevation gain.
Bring a sack lunch (not too big) and your 10 Essentials.

We are meeting at the North Viking Park and Ride in Poulsbo, departing at 7:15 a.m. Arrival time at trailhead is about 8:20 a.m.
