Hike Slab Camp and Gray Wolf River

Expect easy descent of 1100 feet to Slab Camp over 3 miles through the forest.  From there- we will follow Gray Wolf trail  upstream in a SW direction – heading to Camp Tony.  Final destination is not fully defined – depends on group’s progress and desire to continue or call it a day.  Expect roughly about 10 miles total. The hike will start downhill for 3 miles and then will climb slowly after that.  On the reverse, we will descend but of course – at the end- we have 1100 feet to climb!    Not your typical hike path!

Weather shows it to be rainy.  Recommend gaiters and microspikes (for any hidden hardpatch snow areas), rain gear and hike poles.
