PCT Chinook Pass to White Pass Section
Tuesday August 20 - Saturday August 24
A high country southbound (SOBO) approximately 28-mile, 3-night backpack along the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) from Chinook Pass to White Pass. This section of the PCT offers numerous campsites adjacent to scenic lakes and ponds. Elevation gain is 3800′ and is rated as moderate to strenuous. This is a terrific introduction to the PCT and we will undoubtedly meet many “thru-hikers” along our route. Although a section is within the boundaries of Mt.Rainier National Park most of the trail is within the William O. Douglas wilderness. Estimated mileage per day is 8-10.
A minimum of 3 participants/RSVP’s and two drivers will be needed.
